Where I'm Going, Jesus Has Already Been
Paul Springer

1. As I trav-el through this life here be-low,
There are things a-head that I can_ not know.
But I fol-low one who for us God did send,
Where I'm go-ing, Je-sus has al-read-y been!

[chorus] I'm fol-low-ing Je-sus be-cause He knows the way,
Through the word he guides me each pass-ing day.
Je-sus came, lived, and died, a-rose, now lives in heav'n,
Where I'm go-ing, Je-sus has al-read-y been!

2. When tri-als and temp-ta-tions come my way,
Re-mem-ber the des-ert: fast-ing for-ty days;
Sa-tan tempt-ed him, yet he walked with-out sin,
Where I'm go-ing, Je-sus has al-read-y been!

3. When I'm sick, or worn, or just com-fort need,
Cru-ci-fied on a cross, His suf-f'ring we read.
With com-pas-sion and love, his grace he ex-tends,
Where I'm go-ing, Je-sus has al-read-y been!

4. When at last my time on this earth is o'er,
Then I'll stand at judge-ment: e-tern-i-ty's door.
He'll say, "I've pre-pared this place; Now, en-ter in,"
Where I'm go-ing, Je-sus has al-read-y been!

NOTES: This thought came to me one day that where ever I
may go, or problems I may have, Jesus has already been there.
As listed in the scriptures below, Jesus is showing us the
way, we must follow and imitate him. He is guiding us in
the way we should live, and one day die. We all hope to
live eternally with him and yet, he is already there, too.
A song of comfort and hope while living the christian life.
