2. Well, I want to be bap-tized, (bap-tized,) when Je-sus comes a-gain,
I want to be faith-ful, (faith-ful,) and keep my-self from sin,
I want to be bap-tized (bap-tized) for a new life to be-gin,

when Je-sus comes a-gain.

3. Well, I want to be ho-ly, (ho-ly,) when Je-sus comes a-gain,
I want to be teach-ing, (teach-ing,) and keep my-self from sin,
I want to be ho-ly (ho-ly) for a new life to be-gin,
I want to be teach-ing, (I want to be) teach-ing
when Je-sus comes a-gain.

4. Well, I want to be hum-ble, (hum-ble,) when Je-sus comes a-gain,
I want to be serv-ing, (serv-ing,) and keep my-self from sin,
I want to be hum-ble (hum-ble) for a new life to be-gin,
I want to be serv-ing, (I want to be) serv-ing
when Je-sus comes a-gain.

5. Well, I want to be lov-ing, (lov-ing,) when Je-sus comes a-gain,
I want to be pa-tient, (pa-tient,) and keep my-self from sin,
I want to be lov-ing (lov-ing) for a new life to be-gin,
I want to be pa-tient, (I want to be) pa-tient
when Je-sus comes a-gain.

6. Well, I want to be read-y, (read-y,) when Je-sus comes a-gain,
I want to be read-y, (read-y,) and keep my-self from sin,
I want to be read-y (read-y) for a new life to be-gin,
I want to be read-y (I want to be read-y),

NOTES: [song updated 4-2000] I decided to write a Bass
lead song (since I am a bass), so here it is. Kind of a
'boogie' feel and you can say "wan-ta" instead of "want to".
Put some spirit and emotion and a smile into this song.
It would also make a great quartet song.
